About Susanne
Behind the human.
Human Space Counselling is founded on the belief that being human is messy, meaningful and never one-size-fits-all. I offer thoughtful, person-centred therapy for adults and young people over 18, whether you're feeling overwhelmed, working through something painful, or simply seeking space to reconnect with yourself.
I am an Accredited Counsellor with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), which means I work within their Code of Ethics and professional framework.
I hold a Bachelor of Counselling, and an ICF accredited Certificate in Professional Coaching. I also participate in continuing professional development to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and gently reflective, creating a space that feels safe to explore whatever you’re facing—without pressure or judgement.
"This is your space. A place to feel heard, understood, and supported."
My story
With a background in education, disability, and emergency services, and experience living and working in both Scotland and Australia, I bring a broad, inclusive perspective to my work.
My counselling style is conversational, creative and holistic, shaped by continuous professional learning and deep respect for each person’s unique experience. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, identity questions, or simply looking to understand yourself better—this is your space, and your pace.
“My role isn’t to fix you. It’s to walk alongside you as you explore what matters, what hurts, and what could be possible.”
"Counselling isn’t just about fixing a problem—it’s about honouring your story and finding a more fulfilling way to live."
