Therapy that fits your needs, at your pace

Counselling for adults and young people over 18, offered in person and online. Flexible, supportive and built around what you need.

"We are human—complex, creative, emotional beings—and I believe that matters now more than ever."

What I offer

I provide individual counselling for anyone looking to explore their thoughts, emotions or experiences in a safe and supportive space. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain or simply curious about personal growth, therapy can help you better understand yourself and find a clearer way forward.

Sessions are one hour long and can be arranged as:

Short-term therapy

For specific issues or goals.

Longer-term psychotherapy

For deeper or ongoing support.

One-off sessions

If you just want to dip your toe in.

You can come for as many or as few sessions as you need—there’s no pressure and no fixed timeline. Together we’ll work in a way that feels right for you.

How I work

Sessions are available

  • In person on Monday afternoons in Portobello (fully accessible space, with parking and public transport links)

  • Online at other times during the week, via a secure video platform

My approach is person-centred and humanistic, which means I work alongside you rather than offering set solutions or advice. I’ll listen with empathy, offer gentle reflection, and support you to explore your experiences at your own pace.

My counselling style is conversational, creative, and guided by what feels most helpful to you.

Confidentiality is a vital part of the counselling relationship and what we talk about in sessions is confidential; any personal details I gather about you will be kept in line with data protection requirements.

Fees

  • £60 / session

  • £50 / session

  • I also offer reduced rates for students and those on low incomes—please feel welcome to ask.

Who it’s for

I work with adults and young people over 18 from all walks of life. You might be dealing with:

  • Anxiety or emotional overwhelm

  • Relationship challenges

  • Low mood or lack of direction

  • Confidence and self-esteem issues

  • Past trauma

  • Life transitions

  • Identity and self-understanding

Or perhaps you're not sure what’s wrong—just that something doesn’t feel right. That’s okay too. All of your experiences are valid, and you don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

“There’s no ‘right reason’ or ‘right time’ to come to counselling. If you feel it might help, that’s reason enough.”
